Newport Carnival returns on Saturday, 1st August 2026, with our spectacular Main Carnival Procession.
The procession will set off from South Street at 19:00, bringing colour, music and entertainment through the heart of Newport.
Our team are working hard behind the scenes to deliver another fantastic event for the community, and we welcome anyone who would like to take part in the procession.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive from 18:30 to allow time to find a good viewing spot along the route. As always, South Street and High Street are expected to be popular locations, while Trafalgar Road and the Mall may offer quieter vantage points.
We also look forward to welcoming you to our Illuminated Carnival Procession on Thursday, 20th August. Although smaller in scale, it promises to be another exciting evening and a wonderful event for all ages.
