Newport Carnival Routes
Both Newport Carnival’s Main & Illuminated Processions leave Church Litten, Town Lane & South Street at the scheduled start times (Main 7pm / Illuminated 9pm) here this will be filtered into South Street and head West.
The procession then proceeds along South Street before turning left into Upper St James’ Street.
Once at the end of Upper St James’ Street, the parade then turns right into Trafalgar Road and follows its entirety before reaching Carisbrooke Road.
Turn right into Carisbrooke Road (The Mall) and the procession then joins the High Street through the town.
The parade will turn left at The Guildhall into Quay Street and head down onto The Quay where the carnival will disperse.
Christmas Parade
Please note the route for our Christmas Parade follows the short route.
The Christmas Parade leaves Church Litten at 5pm where it will be filtered into South Street and head West.
The procession then proceeds along South Street before turning right into St James’ Street.
The parade then takes a left up Pyle Street.
The parade will then turn right into the High Street through the town before turning left into Quay Street at the Guild Hall.
Here the procession then makes its way to The Quay where they disassemble.
